May is a funny month. Not only does it get springy on us all of a sudden, but all the teachers go apeshit 'cos of the upcoming exams (and it wouldn't look good for them if anyone failed anything!) Throw yours truely's birthday into the mix, you have all the ingredients for stress and mayhem by the bucketload.

Oh, and one more thing: it's 17th of Mai. Cue national chump behaviour.
After 500 odd years of Swedish or Danish rule, Norway finally got a constitution on the 17th of May, 1814. Ok, fine, well done Norway. But that doesn't mean it's time to act like a nation of chimps! The entire country goes absolutely crazy every year when this stupid day comes along. And the preparations started about two weeks ago! Senior students, know as "Russ", decide they'll celebrate by getting drunk every day, driving around in crazy minivans and randomly attacking youger students. I've been spending the last few weeks dodging waterpistols and having eggs thrown at my head. Hurray, what fun.
Somehow, getting drunk every day on the week of ones exams doesn't seem like the most intelligent behaviour to me.

On a happier note, soon it will be over. No more Russ, no more exams, and no more 17th bloody May. Untill next year of course.
